In addition to his scoring and rebounding averages, Weems went 10-for-19 (.526) from the field overall and 5-of-9 (.556) from three-point range in games against Connecticut and Valparaiso. He scored 20 points against Valparaiso with six rebounds, an assist, a block and a steal while going 8-of-14 from field and 3-6 from behind the arc. The game was his second 20-point game of season. Weems led the Blue Demons with seven rebounds against Connecticut and scored six points on 2-for-3 shooting from three-point range.
St. John's Julian Champagnie was the Player of the Week while Marquette's Dawson Garcia was the Freshman of the Week. Weems was joined on the honor roll by Butler's Myles Tate, Tyrese Martin from Connecticut, Denzel Mahoney from Creighton and Marquette's D.J. Carton.
