Romeo Weems continues to dominate, and as a result, his performances continue keep his name in headlines. Making a case to be a front runner for the Hal Schramm Mr. Basketball award each week, Weems became the top career scoring leader in New Haven history.
Weems was not the only player on the Mr. Basketball watch list to break a school record, however. Ann Arbor Skyline guard Ryan Wade scored a program-record 40 points in a single game last week. Caleb Bates of St. Claire Shores Lake Shore joined the 1,000-point club as well.
The players below are presented in alphabetical order of last name. MLive's Mr. Basketball watch list neither officially associated with BCAM nor its Mr. Basketball voting process. Also, if there is a senior we are missing or you would like to pass along stat updates on anyone, please let us know in the comments section or email japurcell@mlive.com with your thoughts.
Voted on annually by members of the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan, the award is presented in March during the week leading into the state championships.
